Obon

Last night i made it out to the japanese gardens in washington park to go to the obon festival and bon dance

Bon dance, or bon odori, is a japanese tradition, a night where you honor your departed family and ancestors. It was really small here in portland, but it was nice.





it is hard to tell in these pictures, but we lit candles and floated them on the water
